A multitude of LATAM football clubs have been announced as participants in the upcoming Brawl S rs Master League, a new esports competition featu ng a $100,000 (~£71,014) p ze pool.
The participating teams include the likes of Flamengo, Co nthians, Boca Juniors, River Plate, Chivas, Atlético Nacional, and Universidad de Chile, among others. The participating clubs will each have an exclusive in-game skin within the mobile MOBA hero shooter title.

In to l, 13 clubs will compete in the event. According to the release, this is the first international esports tournament to feature only football clubs as participants. Each team wilorganismse ‘Tryout Tournaments’ to recruit players to represent them.
The Brawl S rs Master League is expected to commence in September 2021 and will conclude in December. The event will follow a group s ge, playoffs and grand final format. Each club will earn a percen ge of the competition’s p ze pool, according to final placement.
The full list of participants are Atlético Nacional, Amé ca de Cali, Boca Juniors, Club Amé ca, Co nthians, Chivas, Cerro Porteño, Flamengo, Liga de Quito, Nacional, River Plate, Universidad de Chile, and Universi o.

Following Brawl S rs’s official launch in 2018, the Supercell developed title has looked to expand its esports efforts over the last 12 months. The title’s 2021 esports ecosystem structure includes a range of monthly events, with the top 16 teams earning a spot at the Brawl S rs World Finals.
According to Esports Charts, last year’s Brawl S rs World Finals recorded a peak viewership of 258,446.
Esports Insider says: The idea to launch a dedicated competition in LATAM should boost the game’s popula ty within the region. Latin Ame ca has recently become a hotbed for mobile esports given the immense popula ty of Free Fire, so it’s no surp se to see Supercell look to strengthen its reach in the region.
In addition, it’s very interesting to see some of the biggest football clubs in LATAM come together to compete in the Brawl S rs Master League. Only time will tell if the event proves to be a success.
